Although both platforms brought a revolution in user's social life but users act not only differently but I would say "oppositely" on both platform.

Interesting factor is that both platforms users don't even like to make account in other platform. Facebook user is more concerned about privacy where as Twitter loves to be "open". Facebook user activities swirl around their close friends and relative where as Twitter user tries to grab the attention of as many people as he/she can. On Facebook, user adds their real or close friends. However, on Twitter people are more interested in building "interest based" relationship.

Businesses always complain that they're not able to get user attention on Facebook, no matter how hard they try. A recent research says that 77% of Facebook fan pages have less than 1000 fans. However, on Twitter it's very easy to build up your followers. Why is like that ? Is every thing depends on your efforts? I guess Not! 80% is your efforts and 20% is user habits and the anatomy of the platform.

As I wrote earlier that Twitter user believes in sharing and listening. On Twitter people follow you because they want to "listen" from you where as Facebook user becomes your fan because they want to endorse you. Twitter user always seeks info, however, Facebook user has so many activities to perform. Facebook users generally stuck in their own "personal activities". They rarely get a time to see "here n there".

Facebook has been persuading their users to be more "social" for quite sometime but I'm sorry facebook users don't want to come out of their sanctuaries. If users don't change their habits, Facebook wont' be able to make a place in "social or real time search" which is becoming a pivotal part of internet search. However, Twitter has an edge over Facebook regarding real search. Although real search can not replace traditional search but in coming era traditional search will be in ompleted without a real search. People are more interested in "what's happening now" than getting same old database results. And interesting factor is every time real search brings "something new". See the below example of sharing behavior: Screenshot are taken from famous blog site http://mashable.com . And you'll be amazed to see the number of sharing on Twitter and Facebook for the same post.

Self Motivation - A real and invisible catalyst

In the name of Allah the most beneficent the most merciful

Hello, how all of you doing ? I hope everything is ok as usual in other words "same old shit". You know, why did I write it ? Because most of us are not consistent. We usually get bored from our daily routine. We always think that What the heck is this ? Things are so monotonous and repetitive. There should be something new n changed in life. But Trust me, we can't afford "change" on daily basis. Yes, change is always good. But the "change" on daily basis can never be afford.

Most of my posts are about my own self. Haven't you noticed my blog slogan "It's all about my thoughts, experiences etc etc...". It doesn't mean that I'm the person who always think about my own self, in other words "Snollygoster". Reason is I don't want to discuss others.I don't have a courage to point out bad things in others. Whenever I see some one's bad habits or actions. My mind says "Are you perfect ? Haven't you done anything wrong ?". That's why I adopted "ignore policy". Especially in the matter of "direct hits". However I will try to share some great experiences of other people in future.

The thing I wanted to discuss is self motivation. For me, it's far more important than breath or even than blood. Self motivation gives me reason to live, courage to stand among people, words to share my point of view, power to convince others, confidence to lead others and many other countless things. But I'm sorry to say this factor isn't in my control. I wish I could control it by my self. Trust me, If I were able to control it, I would have conquered the whole planet. Drat!!!! These are not in my control. Somehow, I manage to keep the minimum level of self motivation. This Self motivation is the real and basic cause of self confidence. I feel like people like Bill Gates, Larry Ellison, Sergey Brin or Steve Ballmer are nothing in front of me :) (haha just kidding). Also that self motivation generates massive level of confidence in my self. And Just because of that confidence, I speak in front of others without caring his/her status.

Basically I've extrovert personality, but whenever I loose self motivation n confidence. I can't even stand among small kids :). I can't afford foray of few words by others. I get speechless. Lack of self motivation decays my personality just like moribund system. Here one question arises, How I keep the level of this factor up ? Well the answer is there are so many factor behind this. And I don't think so that discussing them is necessary. OMG, I always reveal the secrets of my self. But that's how I get feed back about my self.

BTW now a days I'm sick too. Dr.s found few stones in my both kidneys. I don't know how long these stones have been there in my kidneys ? As long as they were quiet, I didn't have any issue with them.:) But what they did, they started irritating me. And I had to vow to get rid of them ASAP. That's all from my side...

Take care
Allah hafiz...

Power of social networking

Hey Guys, just wanted to share two great examples of expanding businesses through social networking.

Here are the examples

Building a company from scratch with LinkedIn recommendations – Sasha Strauss, Innovation Protocol

Finding a $250K contract on LinkedIn Answers - Steven Shimek, Ruder Finn PR

An over view of my performance in Mobilink - Corporate Story

In the name of Allah the most beneficent the most merciful

Hello, how all of you doing ? Hope every one is great as usual. In my previous post, I told that I will write more about my experiences etc. Today I decided to give you a brief over view of my performance in Mobilink. I will use technical jargon too.

Well I took more than 1,15,000 calls with an average quality of more than 95 %. It's really hard to maintain this kind of quality. More than 95% means that I never missed even customer's name in my calls.Trust me, it wasn't the game of toddlers. I've generated more than 32,000 activities with the accuracy of 99.99%. 99.99% means that I never got back any activity in my work load due to any XYZ reason. Isn't it awesome ?

My average talk time was around 1 minute and 22 seconds. It means that I was able to handle even complex queries in only above mentioned time. I was in multilevel queue. I was handling both postpaid and prepaid customers with the ratio of 70:30 respectively. I've consulted around 1000 emails for giving support to the customers. I memorized more than 110 SOPs(Standard Operating Procedures). Around 35% of my calls contain "business decisions" taken by myself. It's really hard to take business decision. Result could be in term of "Fire or Demote". One more thing i.e. I never dropped any call intentionally :).

Another thing is that I never marked "U" due to any xyz reason. In my previous company, "U" is the usual and most dislike word among CSRs. I usually handled most of the customers by my self on calls. My Average ratio of escalation is 5 calls in average of 200 calls. And in these 5 calls, more than 50 % is because of system constraints. That's how I handled the customers. :) Last but not least, in the span of two year there was not a single *OCS against me

That was a brief over view of my performance in Mobilink. Some of you will have difficulty in understanding figures, but I tried to make it as easy as possible. However, if you still confused regarding anything you can ask me directly :).

I'll be waiting for your comments..
Good Night
Take Care
Allah Hafiz

*OCS = Customer complaint against CSR

I'm no longer Mobilinker - Corporate Story

In the name of Allah the most beneficent the most merciful

Hey how all of you doing ? you probably thinking about the topic. yeah!!!!!!! it's true. I would also like to thanks Waqar Qamar, Allaudin for their support and guidance. This was my luck that I was under the supervisions of the gurus of their field. Thanks to Irfan Nazir and Salman Javed Khan. Irfan has always been very helpful to me and Salman endorsed me a lot. I'm talking about Shahzad Butt. I'm sorry Shahzad it happened unintentionally. Butt is the person, who knows the real meaning of consistency. He's an extra ordinary performer and above all a very nice friend. We used to go home together n shared a lot of topic with each like political situation in country etc etc.. Thanks Shahzad. Here I would like to mention about an other person. That buddy's name is Imran Bashir. Imran Bashir is also a top player and a guy having remarkable voice :).

In e next post, I will have an over view of my performance through out my career in Mobilink.
Take Care
Bye
AH

It's all about cuil.com

In the name of Allah the most beneficent the most merciful

Have you heard about cuil.com ???? I'm sure most of you guys knows about it. If you've have not heard about it, don't worry coz in few moment I'm going to tell you about this :). Well cuil.com is new search engine, launched on 28th of july, 2008. I'm sure you people are thinking why I'm discussing it?Well there are some reasons behind it. let me tell you few of them.

cuil.com claims that they have indexed far more bigger data base than Google or any other search engine containing more than 120 billion pages. Company also claims that cuil doesn't save search term of users unlike Google. cuil's search result contains long descriptions along with relevant pictures. With the small team of 30 people and initial venture capital of around 32 million dollar cuil.com is ready to jump into competition.

cuil.com has been widely criticized regarding it's claim of having largest search engine index. Critics say that most of search term are irrelevant or wrong. Company replied that it's just start there are lot of bugs to be fixed and lot of things to be improved. I personally experienced irrelevancy of results in term of description and picture but yes it's just start. I hope things will be improved with the passage of time. I personally believe that there should be healthy competition in online search market rather than monopoly of one or two search giants.
wish you good luck cuil ;)

Few words from successful Blogger

This guy is so true...Take a look @ this small interview. ya really Passion is the only way to be succeeded in your job. It's not all about blogs, it's about every field of life If you don't have passion, enthusiasm no matter how intelligent you're, you can never have desired results.

Exam Fear - My Inner Monster

In the name of Allah the most beneficent the most merciful

Today I'm gonna reveal one of my secret. I don't know whether I should call it disease or not but what I feel is that this is psychological disease. I'm scared of exam. I've been exceptional student through out my educational career. I work hard love to read n write :). I love to give presentations, completing difficult tasks etc etc but when it comes to exam I really get upset. I've great great fear of exam no matter what kinda exam those are. I can prepare well but I can't perform well in exam. I don't have enough courage to give even a small quiz.

This fear created in my mind for the very first time when I was in 10th class n preparing for final exam. my life was really vicissitudes @ that time(still it is ). One of the aftermath of those critical days is my "exam fear". I prepared very well for exam n my parents were expecting extra ordinary result from me. I was extremely fret and under self created pressure I didn't pay attention towards my health etc eventually during exam I fainted.

History repeated itself in first year exam. I prepared a lot and when "prove your self day" arrived I gave up :(. That day I was feeling like I should die today rather than giving exam. Any how I passed it. During BCS I tried to over come this problem by myself n I was succeeded upto some extent. one of the reason was that in semester system one has to face exam after every two months so exam became usual routine for me. During BCS fear didn't over completely but the level of severeness decreased. Thanks God I still did very good job in my educational career.

Once again I had to face it last month when I was preparing for a critical exam during my annual leaves. it remembered me of those "pathetic days". I never think of curing it through treatment but now I finally decided that I will take help of any psychiatrist to get rid of this disease.

Let me share with you people that what kinda grievous experiences I do during this condition. Well my heart beat gets very fast. some time I feel that my heart will sink or fell into some deep hole. my neck muscles gets pulled. Every time it happens that I know almost every answer but I always starts with question I really don't know.I feel like my soul is going to leave my body. I hate cramming I never did cramming even before college life. But as you know here in our system up to second year cramming is "must", other wise one can't get good grades but I always did conceptual study. Conceptual study helps me in exams but some times I forget even very very simple things. During exam days I feel like it's better to be an animal than a student having exam. I always criticize method of exam to judge student's ability, reason isn't that I did research on it and found an alternate solution but the reason is that I've inner fear of exam.
But there is one positive thing in my self n i.e when ever I decide to over come any problem I did it. My self motivation n self-assertiveness always help me in fighting with these kinda inner factors. Just because of this "inner immune system" I over come so many problems. I believe no one can cure you from any disease or any problem until or unless you're not willing to do it by yourself coz no one knows you better than your own self. Have you ever faced this kinda problem or do you have any problem or fear like this ? do share with me..
Take Care
Allah hafiz

Online Privacy - A severe Issue

In the name of Allah the most beneficent the most merciful

Once I mentioned in my blog that concept like web 2.0 has changed everything in the world of internet. Now there are so many ways to have and share information but this online revolution creates few problem too. One of the biggest problem I think is "privacy". Privacy is something that's every person's basic right. one of the reason of the facebook popularity is it's privacy control feature.

Recently software leviathan Microsoft and online search giant Google asked Congress to pass basic legislation about online privacy. They gave three core rules n believe me those rules are based on real facts. Those rules are as follows
Consumers should be clearly notified what information is being collected about them
people should control how that information is used
Consumer data should be secured to ensure it does not fall into the wrong hands

I think If congress pass legislation based on these rules It would help a lot in protecting user's online privacy.

Novice level users don't know much about privacy issues even advance level users do grievous mistakes while use internet. I think govt. should run campaign for awareness of this issue. I hope things will go on the right side as Governing bodies started taking this issue seriously.

Two Newses

In the name of Allah the most beneficent the most merciful

salam, I'm on annual leave for last 20 days n I still have 10 more leaves. I did nothing :D. Before availing annual leaves I had plan that I will not do anything in my annual leaves n I executed my plan :).I've two newses. Have you heard about Mozilla Firefox. Well it's web browser. Mozilla Firefox is one of the most popular browser around the world.well the news is Firefox 3.0 made a record of around 12.0 million downloads within 24 hours. VP-Marketing of Mozilla Firefox says that I don't know whether some one made this kinda record or not before but we did it for the very first time. Mozilla really became a real threat for Internet Explorer. Until now Mozilla is being used by around 18 % of Internet users.
Mozilla Firefox is quite fast from other browsers in term of browsing. As long as my thinking goes, Tabbed browsing was introduced by Mozilla. Although Microsoft has added this feature in IE 7.0 but Mozilla Firefox took the credit of tabbed browsing, Mozilla is quite flexible in term of themes, add-ons and plugins. One of the striking feature of Firefox is security. Firefox's security algorithm is far more better than IE. It's also using industry standards like SSL/TL( Secured socket layer) for communication. Internet Explorer is really vulnerable browser if you don't install security patches or update it from Microsoft's website. I'm not marketer of Firefox but the thing is one should appreciate and shares his or her opinions if he or she satisfies from any product.

second news I want to share is that I've launched new website named paknewz.com. In childhood one of my favorite hobby was reading. It doesn't mean that I'm like philosopher since childhood :) but believe me I read a lot in my childhood. One of my favorite magazine was akhbar-e-jahan especially children page n science corner or something like that. I read lot of posts there but two of posts I never forgot one of post was regarding cloning n other one was regarding Internet. When I was in seventh class one day I was reading akhbar-e-jahan as usual I opened my favorite page n i.e. science corner. That day topic was internet as I was quite young so I couldn't understand fully what exactly written over there. Author wrote something like Internet is place which use for communication among US Army personals etc. They have their own world they keep their selves connected with each other through this device etc etc. I read that post twice or thrice time.It was quite interesting to me but I couldn't get what exactly the internet is ? Author wrote that internet is being commercialized, now civilians are also taking part in it. It has been predicted that soon it will be in the access of every one. He posted picture in his post.In that picture An American soldier was using internet on his laptop. Even after watching picture I couldn't understand still the idea of internet in my mind was vague. After reading post I discussed with my friends just to get the idea but no one had the idea of internet. Author was quite right I remembered he emphasized in his post that we should take part in it because soon it will be become most popular platform on earth. Now you can see Internet is really great revolution in our lives. I remembered when we bought pc n first web site I opened on the internet was cnn.com. Things have been changed in only 10 years. Now we can't imagine our lives without internet. Even the world of internet has changed a lot. No doubt Internet is great revolution n one of the biggest innovation of our era.Internet really made this world a global village. Just because of Internet every one got the opportunity to express, to show, to publish what ever the thoughts, ideas , skills he or she has. Now if you want to publish a book you need not to go to publisher n ask him I don't have money please publish my book n if it sells I will pay you lol. Now you need not to go to studio n give trial for actiing if director likes you he or she will cast you in his or her movie. you can broadcast yourself on the internet n trust me viewers are not in thousands or lakhs there are millions who can see you. Now you need not to find a person who can listen you, you can write on the internet n see they are millions users who can read your posts.
Communication is so fast n reliable.Email, Instant messaging and voice over IP technologies made things easier n accissible for every one. The concept of internet communication is just like DHL's logo i.e. "think done". In these 10 year Internet it self has evolved a lot. Now web is not all about getting information. In the traditional internet,User come online, open website gets the information n then closes the website but now things have been changed. It's not all about getting information now one can add values, can change the things by yourself. One can show his or her creativity, can communicate with others in so many ways and above all can share information among others. Term like web 2.0 cites great revolution in the field of internet. The technical concepts like folksonomy, microformats, wikis, remaxibility helped in integrating webs with users. Now you've so many ways to express yourself like blogging, vlogging, moblogging n once again viewers are not limited whole world is watching you. One can grab attention of any one. Things are getting more powerful on the internet.
Social networking is one of major area of Internet.Websites like facebook, myspace, orkut n flickr are good example of social networking.People are even running their election campaigns on the internet. Social networking gave great opportunity to users to interact with each others n develop coteries.
An other aspect of internet is eBusiness. Internet became most powerful platform for business. DotCom bubble(1997-2000) in US stock markets showed strength of this platform. This is just because of greater no. of users, flexibility and comparatively easy to access in term of budget and resources. Look @ the business volume of companies like Google, Yahoo, facebook, eBay, Microsoft n many others. Right now online advertisement market volume is around 40 billion dollars which will be double by the end of 2010.

as every thing have pros n cons same is case with internet. There are hundreds of thousands of scammers and spammers on the internet. Daily no. of people become fool through phishing n pharming which result loss of confidential information like personal passwords, credit card no.s n other value information. In my opinion one of biggest issue is privacy. People who are @ novice level don't know much about how to control their privacy even advance user can't control everything so keeping your privacy secret is one of the major issue over the internet. I think the biggest factor in popularity of facebook is it's privacy policy n practical steps taken by website.

Any how I think it's enough. you can share your views about internet n issues which are being faced by you both @ individual level and over all. I'll be waiting for your response. Take care all of you
Allah hafiz.

Fun day @ Work place

In the name of Allah the most beneficent the most merciful

Jaldi kero yaar hum late ho rahe hein( Do hurry!!! we are getting late) these were the words of our team lead when we were getting ready for taking part in dress up theme competition. It was really a fun day for us. We had a great fun n enjoyed it a lot. Every team showed great enthusiasm n did very well job. I won't take much time of you people. Me going to share pictures with you guys taken on that day but I will only share pictures of our team. Reason I can't share pictures of other teams is privacy n "copyright" :p. We made this day a memorable day of our life. Before becoming malang we had lot of ideas in our mind. First idea came in our mind was suicide bombers but I was against that idea coz in my opinion it can not grab attention of audience. Second idea came in our mind was pirates of Contact center but we thought this has been over rated so we rejected it too. One team implemented "Pirates of Contact Center" idea n I personally feel that they were among best ones.Any how after so many ideas we decided to be malang :p coz it's something very much different and new. We started collecting stuff n other things. you know we even hired a professional film make up artist for this purpose. One thing we had noticed first day of theme competition that performance counts a lot we saw lot of teams in different themes but those who did acting in get up they managed to grab not only attention of people but also of judges. The Coterie of malangs showed great team work and enthusiasm :). At last it worked n malangs stood on victory stand :). We won luxury dinner @ 5 stars hotel :). Even outsiders enjoyed it a lot people stopped their cars just to see what's going on :p. ok lemme share pics now...

<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; Thank God night duties are over now. It's very difficult to stay awake whole night :p. If you sit idle then it's ok other wise it's become horrible for you to perform duty :p. As per one of my manager metabolism hurts during night shift. These night shifts are totally different from usual ones coz for the very first time I had a long idle time :) n other thing is these are my first night shifts with my new team mates after shuffling. During shift I had opportunity to understand moods n ideologies of few of my team mates. Ever since team shuffled I've not spent long time with them. We used to come on shift, performed our duty n then moved to home.

I had an opportunity to sit with one of senior member of our team. The person is middle aged and has light personality. I had a chance to share n exchange my ideologies, beliefs towards life n other things. Trust me I've learned a lot from him.He has got very wide knowledge in matter of religion, life itself n so many other things.

Let me discuss few of them. We were talking about "purpose of life". I was discussing with him that I'm still confused "what exactly purpose of my life ? " I don't think so that job, family friends are everything. I told him that I've strong believe on monotheism n monotheism always gives me self motivation. He replied me yeah every one has got this belief as Muslim or any follower of Abrahamic religions but the thing is our actions don't reflect what exactly we believe. For example whenever we are needy, first thought ever comes in mind is to find Christ among people who it's self are dependable on others asking for help from God can be second option but not first one.

Another thing I discussed with him regarding ideology of Sufism. Before that discussion I had a vague image of Sufism but he helped me a lot in understanding main theme of Sufism. Trust me the way he convinced me was tremendous. Above all he gave me a concept of religious denomination of Islam in only one line. One thing he said to me that Amir saheb aap ki to apne aap se jung hai kisi aur se kia jung kero ge aap ?(Mr. Amir you've war with your own inner self first conquer it then do some other things ) ? He said we all have fatwas(rulings) in our pockets not for our selves but for others. He was quite right because I've never thought what I'm doing I always think what others are doing ? How can I find mistakes in others etc etc ?

Last night I heard a myth from him. Title was "Biography of Satan". The way he told me that story was amazing n it persuaded me to eulogize him in my post. Thanks dear I will never forget our conversation n I hope it will help me a lot in my whole life. Have you people ever had conversation or meeting like this ?
Take Care Allah hafiz

Favorite Food Places

AOA hey Guys how you doing ? hope every one is ok. OMG I've been doing so many things for last few weeks. My mind is totally messed up as usual :p. Any how I got some relaxation due to night duties. One of my hobby is hanging out with friends on weekend we go to different places especially for food ;). They love food but they don't eat a lot they just taste ;) haha. I thought I should share with you guys different good n favorite food places in Lahore where not only food is hygienic but also you can enjoy environment n hospitality too.

So Lets start with Pizza my favorite :p. well me not going to discuss why are these places are best because it takes time n other reason is I 'm not marketer of these restaurants etc. Well for pizza I think best place is pizza hut no matter there are so many choices but I think pizza hut is best one. For take away I think Kings n Queens is best pizza corner. KFC is best place for fast food.

If you want to eat spicy food then there is no place like Cafe Zouqe. They have lot of spicy stuff n my favorite ones are dishes having Thai rice mmmmmmmm tasty one :). Well on the other that place is best place for date too lol. I know it's costly one but trust me you can have best date there lol.

For bakery stuff n once again for romantic date Copper Cattle is best place ;). You will find peace n harmony there as well as so many delicious flavors of coffee. If you want to have good dine with family I think village, Dera,Salt n peper are best places n affordable one too.Fredi's Cafe is nice place though it is bit costly. For ice cream Marble Stone n Heera's are good places.

One of me n my friend Fawad's best food is platter n we love to eat it. We use to find excuses for eating Platter n no one knows "how to make platter" better than Cock n Bull. let's come to desi food ufff how can I complete this post without discussing Butt's karahi mmmmmmm I love it :p. What??Are you in mood of eating Daal Chawal. ????O bhai mere haven't you seen Lakshmi Daal Chawal @ Lakshmi Chowk . You know just because of these places we use to call lahore . Lahore Lahore a :).

Food street is one of the best place for food as it name tells us whole story. I love to eat pathooray, hareesa n fish from food street. For best nehari you'll have to visit inside lohari gate n for haleem you'll need to visit bhaati chowk :p.

ahm ahm well If I'm in Hugo Boss suit n I have lot of bucks I shall definitely go to Royal Palm and apart from all this my own company food is awesome daily I taste something different n of course international after all I'm corporate slave so there should be some benefit of being corporate slave.

These are few of my favorite places do lemme know about your favorite one's I'm waiting. take care bye.

Customer Services...

In the name of Allah the most beneficent the most merciful

salaam to all of you how are all of you???????????? I hope every one is ok just like me.........well every time I use to say "it's been a long time I didn't write any thing" :p but believe me guyz I really don't have time not because I'm working a lot just because I'm corporate slave :p. Today the topic I've chosen is regarding my job and i-e Customer Services ...

I hope most of you are familiar with this term. let me tell you something about this field.......

According to wikipedia Customer Services is "Use of technology and labour to increase values which customer get from their buying"

I've been in customer services for almost last 2 to 3 years. Prior to this I never thought that I will join this field. Most of people think that customer services is nothing one needs not to have extra skills and talent for this job but I'm very sorry to say that they are wrong. believe me it's not a game of kidz.. one has to be very active, quick decision maker and has a lot of patience for this job. believe me you can never under estimate any one especially "customer" :p.

One of key factor in India's growing economy is BPO companies and most of BPO companies are providing customer services. In Pakistan concept of customer serves is very much new this concept is being mixed with so many other jobs. . In today's competitive market you can't sit relax after introducing and selling your products you've to keep in touch with end users. Believe me now people have lot of choices so one has to satisfy them in every aspect. Once Micheal Dell said that "Our business is about technology, yes. But it's also about operations and customer relationships".

In cellular companies customer services has never been so important as it is now a days. Companies are spending more and more just to make their customer services more better. As per PTA every third Pakistani got his own cell phone and SIM. (oh God I hate mobile phones) :p now companies are not looking for new users now hot topic is how to keep them :) so the only tool to keep them is to provide better customer services and to make this department better they are hiring more and more competitive staff, buying better technologies for providing immediate remedies for example CRMs, phone devices etc.

One Important thing I've learnt in customer services is multitasking before that I can't handle two or three tasks @ once but now I'm in habit of performing multiple tasks. Other things I've learned is judge people without seeing them :p, is to take decisions immediately , is to be patient, is to listen "every one", is to be quick learner, is to identify needs of others means what exactly he or she wants . and lot of other things....... as you people know no. of people are illeterate so they don't know what exactly they want. they always made call on help line having this idea in their mind thats company reperesentative know what exactly in his or her mind :).

As I've already discussed Customer Services is new concept in pakistan so as such there is no mature and defined SOPs in this filed. Things are getting better day by day. This field is going through a revolutionary process but just because of this revolutionary process CSR suffering a lot.Aany how this isn't time to discuss that suffering :p.

let me tell you bit specific about cellular customer services . CSRs usually take almost 200 to 250 calls a days believe me in a very short span of time they perform lot of tasks not for customers only but for so many other departments including data analysis, marketing department, quality assurance, management and of course for their ownselves too. In Mobilink because of big volume of caller,s CSRs are having great difficulty in balancing their KPIs as well as quality of their calls but still they are doing great. Every call is piece of art. Other thing I want to tell you is that without usage of good system one can't provide exact remedy. For providing good customer services efficient technology and tools are essential especially CRM (Customer Relationship Management Software) should be capable of peforming and logging different tasks.

I hope now you people got a little bit idea of what exactly the customer services is.......you are all welcome to share your experiences regarding customer services or even your own job. I'll be waiting for your replies take care all of you Allah hafiz......

PHP vs .NET

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious Most Merciful

AOA friends! how are you all hope all of you are fine . it's been a long time I didn't write anything. Well there were so many reasons behind it but I'm gonna reveal only one n i-e I was fail to access my blog page because of some technical issues of my ISP. I hope you people didn't miss me :P. Well today I'm going to discuss purely programming topic n i-e PHP vs .NET. Well as you know that both languages are able n use to make dynamic web pages. Programmer are always confused which tool they should use for developing website or which is more suitable for their career. remember that I'm not going to tell which is best I'm just going to pros n cons of both platform. first Lemme tell you people something about PHP. PHP was introduced by Danish programmer Rasmus Lerdof in 1994 he was writing a program for counting hits on his online resume. Later he started receiving emails etc regarding his program, he started developing n expanding that function n result came in the form of PHP. PHP stands for Hypertext Processor. well PHP syntax is very much similar to C++. Control structure is almost same as in C++. One can do anything in PHP as in other programming language for developing web project. One of great thing of PHP is that it's open source project so one needs not to buy a license for developing projects in PHP. Well obviously when we talk about dynamic web pages we can not ignore data base so database is mysql. As of November 2007 PHP 5.2.5 version has been released. best platform for writing source code of PHP is Macromedia dreamweaver.Because of simplicity, capability of developing high level dynamic pages PHP is one of most widely used server side scripting all over the world. As of now around 22 millions websites have been created in PHP. Above all it's free:).
Now let's talk about .NET Framework .Well .NET Framework is great revolution in the age of programming. .NET Framework is not a language it's platform where you can develop any kinda of application. .NET Framework comprises of multiple languages like C sharp, ASP.NET, VB.NET etc, base class library, user interface, high level IDE,CLS and CLR etc. In my opinion most inspiring thing of .NET Framework is CLR(Common Language Runtime). Basic task of CLR is to converts code of any .NET language into native language. Basic idea behind the release of .NET Framework is that write in many languages n execute it @ one platform. For creating dynamic web pages one can even write code in C Sharp .NET or VB .NET. Because of high level IDE most of code is already generated by .NET.All you need to do is just drag n drop. Great features like Auto Code Completion and intelli sense helps one a lot in finding compile time error n syntax error and of course one can see execution of his or her code step by step through .NET Debugger.MS SQL server use for storing data etc. With the release of .NET Framework Microsoft also introduced new concept of Web Services. Concept of Web Services is basically websites for websites like one need not to start from scratch he or she can use web services for providing different task of websites. Apart from all this lemme tell you that for installing .NET one need a very good computer having high specs. I recommend you that you should have at least P4.Well as you know .NET Framework is product of Microsoft so one needs to buy license before using it n if you ask me truly I can't afford it :p.
Thats what little idea about both platforms. Idea behind writing this blog is to give you people brief introduction of both platform. I hope you people will add more through your precious comments.. now me going take care Allah hafiz..

Few reasons of failure of IT Culture in Pakistan

AOA !!friends how are you all I hope every one is fine I'm fine too :) . Today shift was very hectic . We had so many connectivity issues n customers were very irate saying bla bla.Any how It's my job to listen all of them n provide them immediate remedy :). I'm very tired as usual it's been so many days I couldn't write any thing. It's not an easy job to write blog or column etc etc. Every time you need to combine so many thoughts n then have to think that how would you start it etc. Tonight one thought came in my mind that I should discuss regarding Information Technology culture in Pakistan . Why we couldn't develop IT culture in Pakistan etc. n so many other questions.
Well every one of us knows that we are living in age of communication and Technology. Whole World has become global village. In almost 15 years things have been changed a lot. Now we can't even imagine our lives without Internet, email etc but what I've observed that still there are lot of things to do. There are only few people taking benefits of these things n you can count them on your fingers. I'm just giving an example :).Million of others who don't have concepts of these tools and they don't know what the purpose of these tools n how could they make their lives easy with these great inventions. remember I'm just talking about Pakistan's situation.
First of all most of people don't take interest in new inventions they just want don't want to "disturb" their selves with new change because some time change costs a lot :) so they always have "inside fear" . Lemme share one of my experience with you guys. One day I went to business man in Abid market for sale n marketing of business n accounting software. I started talking with him. He asked me what kinda benefits he can get through automation of his business. I tried to convince him well he can optimize his business he can get real time figures he can have future cost n revenue picture through automation etc. He replied that he is already getting all of these info n he is earning a lot without automation I replied him that I'm sure throught automation things would be better, he could earn far more then what he is earning right now and automation could help in better ways for expansion of business and he replied me I know how to do business, I've been doing it for last 20 years n it's going great now you will tell me how to do business am I look stupid ? I said definitely you're. :) Oh I meant to say definitely you're not stupid but now things have been changed but he kept arguing that he doesn't need this. thats how people think. Take the example of my own company I'm sure if we change our CRM we can do a lot more better for our customers ;) but we should company spend more money if staff is fulfilling requirements of customers as well as company :). Some times situation is different like Owner is ready for automation but staff doesn't want to.Major reason for this is that through automation one could have transparent operations and obviously staff doesn't want that :).

One of the major reason of failure of IT Culture that people don't have time to explore things. Most of people have very limited scope. For example if they are told that through this button they can copy things they will not explore paste button until or unless some one guides them. Believe me this thing has no relation with intelligence it's just matter of exploring and interest. One day one of my friend asked me what is purpose of "I'm feeling lucky" button on Google web page. I replied him why don't you click on that button you will get to know the purpose of that button. He looked @ me n said "oh yeah" n I replied yeah :)

Another major reason is cost factor. Obviously we are living in developing economy majority of us are living hand to mouth. We need extra money for making our life easier through these tools n technologies. Even now a days every one can't afford Internet, personal computer etc.

There are a lot of other reasons like government negligence, lack of technical institution,Quality education, Import duties, Products quality, Lack of competition etc. I can't mentions all of these reasons because of lack of time :)

I hope you guys come up with your reasons I appreciate if you could mention through your comments :). now take care talk to you guys later Allah hafiz :)

myIdeal

AOA friends, how you all doing ?hope every one is fine I'm fine too.Well topic today I've chosen is my ideal . I don't want to go in depth what is ideal etc . As every one of us is inspired by some one in his or her life..I met with some people who use to say that we don't have ideal we are very much perfect lol. In other words they try to convey message that they don't need to make some one their ideal. In my opinion they are over confident n believe me "Over confidence" is clear symptom of very dangerous disease called "failure" :). Making Ideal doesn't mean that your ideal is just like God for you(nauzbillah). As every one of us knows that no one is perfect in this entire world except the Personality of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH). Like others I do have ideal. Lemme share little bit about him My ideal is Hazrat Umar(RA).I'm very much inspired by the personality n life of Hazrat Umar(RA). Lemme tell you bit about him(RA). Umer(RA) is one of the key personalities in history of Islam. Umar(RA) was physically very strong and tall man. He(RA) was one of those 17 men of makkah who can read n write. One day people of makkah decided to estimate power of Umar. what they did they took piece of leather n wet it. They asked Umar(RAW) to stand up on leather with bare footed after that sixty men from right side n sixty men from left side started pulling leather n you know what happened ? Leather tore into two pieces but Umar(RA) didn't slip from his place that was strength of Umar(RA). Prophet Muhammed(PBUH) used to pray to Allah that O Allah give strength to Islam through Umar(RA) . Before accepting Islam Umar(RA) was one of the worst enemy of Islam but after accepting he became one of the key personality of Islam. In beginning days of Islam muslim use to pray secrely they don't pray openly but the day Umar(RA) accepted Islam he (RA) came to main place of makkah n addressed to people that from today onwards muslims will offer prayer openly n I will see who can stop them . OMG!!! at that time makkah was full of warriors, brave men n militants but no one had enough courage to come infront of Umar(RA) .Since that day muslims started praying openly. One day Muhammad (PBUH) was passing through a street n some children were playing there.Children didn't notice much n kept playing after that Umer (RAW) passed through that street when children saw umer is coming on their way they stopped playing n took a side. Umar(PBUH) stopped there n asked them in angry way why didn't you stop playing when Muhammad (PBUH) passed through your way.Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) was there Muhammed (PBUH) replied Umer don't say anything to them. They didn't do anything wrong it is just your personality you know even satan changes his way whenever you come in his way.
During Umar's reign, Islam spreaded all over the world with the unexampled ratio. In caliphae of Umar, Muslims conquered Syria, Egypt, Persia, Palestine some parts of africa and europe.Very small army of muslims defeated super power of that time Byzantines.Islam has created roots in south asia too during his (RA) era.
Despite all of this, Umar (RA) was very simple man, he set great example of justice among common people. Any one can stop him n ask him about anything . Umar(RA) spent very poor life. One day Umar (RA) came to address for juma prayer. A man stood up pointed his fingure towards him (RAW) n said O Umer. look he was caliph of great islamic state, see level of justice n freedom of expressions. Man said O Umer I've objection on you evey one got one piece of cloth from baitulmal and we all know that one peice of cloth wasn't enough to make a dress. how did you make a dress from your piece of cloth ? before Umar(RA) reply him son of Umar (RA) stood up n replied yeah you're quite right. No one can make dress with that piece of cloth so thats why I gave my father my piece of cloth coz I've been observing for few months that he(RA) has only one dress n I couldn't see that n I requested him to take my peice of cloth thats how he(RA) made a new dress. man get satisfied n replied now "I don't have any objection now ".
Umar(RAW) was great administrator too.During his caliphate he created so may ministries n bureaucracies. He (RA) established naval forces, police, salaried army etc.
above all Umar (RA) was one of closest companion of Prophet Muhammad(RAW). This isn't even brief introduction of Umer(RAW). Reality is this that I need several years to write on characteristics ofUmar(RA). Even non muslims say that Umer is one of the pivotal figure of islam.
now It's enough from my side :). I need to sleep . take care of your selves bye n Allah hafiz :)

mobilePhobia

AOA, Dear friends n readers how are you all ? well I hope every one is quite fine n me fine too. I just came from office like 1 hour ago n was reading news about state of emergency declared by Musharaf. oh really it's so upset.Any how I will not discuss about emergency because it's not thought of day for me n I need hours n hours for discussion of emergency, it's aftermath future of democracy etc etc. The thought n topic I want to discuss with you guys is mobile phobia in Pakistan.Well people are just going crazy day by day regarding usage of mobile. Well no doubt Cell phone made great revolution in our daily lives and it became essential part of our lives. We can't imagine of life without mobile phone but on the other hand we lost so many other things too. I observed lot of rapid changes in our social life. Technology is something so powerful thing that can change cultures, habits, life styles in very short span of time. ok lemme share some funny experiences with you guys. One of my colleague in previous company was originally from okara. one day we decided to spend our weekend in okara. I love to see country side :) I thought it's great chance for me to see country side n to meet with other city's people. we went to okara for one day. city is small like it's equal one town of Lahore.he took me to difference places showed me cantonment area of okara bla bla then we decided to meet his friend he took to one of his best friend's home. on the way to his friend's home he told me that the guy we are going to meet is one of the richest man in town. He's millionaire n he has his own business of leather. we reached his home he introduced me with his friend etc he had tea n formal conversation like how are you ? howz family etc etc then that guy started talking abut cell phones and services of different companies I was so amazed that he know all tariffs of every company n prices of different cell phones etc etc he kept speaking for 3 hours n believe me he still have lot of thing to tell about cell phone. we decided to move to other friend house along with this one :) when we reached there that guy was also ready to talk about cell phone n both men started arguing regarding tariffs and services of different companies n believe me they were about to quarrel with each other regarding who is best service provider :) story not ends yet we moved to another guy n that guy was also fond of mobiles because of his mobile love he started to have business of mobile shop . I don't know it was my bad luck or they were really crazy I had to listen about mobiles n SIMs all day :). So many times I tried to change the topic but all in vain I don't know how they got to know that I don't like cell phone :). At the end of day that millionaire gave me his card n asked me to come again n give him one more chance for hospitality. I saw his card and amazed that there were 4 different cell phone no.s on his visiting card. All numbers were same but prefix were different . OMG!!! it's really crazy. I asked him would you like to tell me which no is on or which one is your primary no. ? He replied me proudly I've four cell phones and all no.s are on 24 hours then he put his hands in different pockets n showed me 4 different cell phone. hahaha and that time I couldn't stop my laugh n started laughing loudly. At the end of the day I was so tired n great headache not because of journey but just because of cell phone phobia. my friend felt that too he was really embarrassed. On return I asked him one question and the question was Is there any university in okara :).He understand the depth of question n replied me with soft smile that recently CM has approved land for university n we started laughing loudly :).
oh friends I really forgot second funny story regarding mobile phones. I'm really absent minded person always forgot what to say what to do. before writing this blog I thought I will share at least two stories with you but now second one is totally vanished from my mind may be this emergency thing is occupied my mind. Any how I know you guyz also know mobile phobia of our nation.I just wanted to give you idea I hope you people got to know what I wanted to say . As I told all of you that I'm corporate slave so lemme introduce you about my owner :). Well I'm working in renown cellular company. Market leader of Cellular industry in Pakistan having almost 28.54 millions subscribers.Company started it's operation in 1994 by Motorola Inc. In 1998 company has been acquired by Orascom Telecom an Egyptian based company.Since then company has done a great job and became market leader. lemme introduce you some important personalities of this group. Starting from Orascom let me tel you about CEO of Orascom Telecom Mr. Naguib Sawiris. Naguib is very dynamic personality very intelligent business man and a person who has very clear focus n goals regarding his business. According to Forbes in 2004 Naguib was 278th richest business man on earth having net worth of around 2.78 billion dollars. but just after 3 years he became 62th richest business man on earth having net worth of around 10 billion dollars. isn't it awesome ? Second man I want to discuss is the CEO of Orascom's child Company Mr. Zouhair Abdul Khaliq . Mr. Zouhair has 22 years top management experience. he was first employee hired by Motorola for Mobilink later he joined a software company WCities as COO then he was offered post of CFO in Orascom Telecom. He was sent to Pakistan as CEO and President of Mobilink. Company has shown tremendous performance under the leadership of Zouhair. let me tell you one thing Mobilink 's theme song "hum bolein mohabat ki zuban " was basically idea of Zouhair. Third man I've chosen for discussion is Mr. Fareed Zaka Bajwa. One of the Director of Contact Center. Fareed is known as very intelligent, dynamic and person having leadership qualities. Fareed hired as an internee in Mobilink but in just short span of 7 years. Fareed became director of customer services. Fareed also known as implementing new ideas among different departments. thats what all about my today's post. this is just bit intro of my corporate n leaders. soon I will let you know about life @ Mobilink n my experiences, problems I'm facing there n what did I learn etc etc. ok me going to bed take a good care bye Allah Hafiz.

Introduction of my Self

hi how are you all ? hope all of you are fine.
